Created as an exercise to explore virtual production and compositing techniques, this scene features footage of a live actor superimposed on a virtual environment created in Unreal Engine 4. The actor was filmed in front of a green screen. That footage was then brought into Adobe After Effects where chroma keying took place to get rid of the green screen background. The resulting footage was brought into Unreal Engine, where camera placement and lighting settings were then configured to blend the footage with the digital environment.
