Journey's End PPJs 03 (Week 5)

Public·7 members

This week was all about putting the pieces together. We took the groundwork laid in weeks 1 & 2 and finally got some stuff on screen.

Tasks:

  • Created & Implemented boids with modular behaviors. Created a few behaviors to keep them on screen, disperse, etc. (12 hrs)

  • Kept the DevOps page updated and assigned/verified/moved tasks (30 mins)

  • Organized general meeting on friday, helped lay out tasks (1 hr)

  • Attended writers meeting, helped compile script for programmers (1hr)

  • Created survey questions and entered them into google forms (1hr)

  • Built scene from models provided by AJ (1hr)

  • Multiple programmer meetings to work and plan for week (3 hrs)

Total: 19:30 hrs (estimated)

Positive:

Finally having a framework on screen has really helped me figure out the path to completing this project. Getting to a vertical slice is feeling a lot more attainable. I also think the team really got the concept this week. Everyone's work is really blending well, and has a consistent style/vision.

Negative:

This was a pretty unbalanced week, ideally I would have spread out the work a lot better. This is something I will try to improve at in the future. I think part of it is just the nature of working on such a complex multidisciplinary project, but I feel like we can do better with delegation and use of the relief roles.
