Art and Team Meeting
This week I worked on mocking up and creating the final assets for the U.I. for the choices. I also working on making a loading screen for the game and animating it to follow the game's color style. I also worked on making a custom cursor for the game.
Good:
I am really proud how the loading screen turned out. I think it is way better than my first cover image for the game and really matches the game's overall aesthetic (apart from low poly).
Bad:
When I was tasked with creating the loading screen animation, I began the process in Photoshop. I found the first iteration of the animation a bit hard to do so I tried to create it in After Effects. Unfortunately, the program crashed and I felt frustrated. Fortunately, I realized that I didn't know what file format the animation had to be in and asked. Even if I had used after effects and it worked, the team needed a short frame animation. I managed to create a looping frame animation in Photoshop that didn't mess with the image layers - since I hadn't planned for animating it while I was drawing it.
